Our School Events
OLIFANTSFONTEIN PRIMARY SCHOOL is always excited to get involve in different type of School Events. We provide a variety of options for all types of interests, where we encourage our learners and staff members to find their best fit on event such as Heritage day, Fun day etc, as part of fund raising.

Heritage Day Celebration
Heritage Day in South Africa is celebrated on the 24th of September annually. Celebrating and embracing our South African culture is very crucial in our school.
Heritage day for primary schools in South Africa is a celebration, based on the inclusivity and diversity represented in South Africa.Â
We ask our parents to allow their children to come to school in cultural outfits and bring traditional food as their lunchboxes, as it is an opportunity to taste traditional foods from the different cultures. We also educate our pupils about the significance of the Heritage day.
School Camps
Educational trips for schools are a valuable way of enhancing classroom-based learning, with experiential learning in a natural environment. School camps build confidence, ignite creativity and problem-solving, stimulate a sense of adventure, encourage social interaction and team-building, and promote independence.

Strategic Planning
Strategic Planning representatives: SMT, SGB members, Grade Heads, Co-ordinators of extra curricular activities and IWSE (Internal Whole School Evaluation), embark on a journey to strategise on school readiness, good practices and areas that need improvement.
# Let do this together.

East Rand Water and Sanitation
ERWAT Visits Our School for a Day of Learning and Giving
We were honoured to welcome representatives from ERWAT (East Rand Water Care Company) to our school for an exciting and educational day!
As part of their outreach program, ERWAT generously donated two beautiful trees 🌲 to our school. With great enthusiasm, our learners rolled up their sleeves and, with the help and guidance of their teachers, planted the trees on our school grounds. It was a wonderful hands-on experience that reminded us of the importance of caring for the environment.
The ERWAT team also took the time to educate our learners about water conservation, the crucial work their company does in treating and managing water, and even how to wash hands properly to stay healthy and safe. The sessions were fun, interactive, and full of valuable information that our learners will carry with them for life.
To top it all off, the learners were delighted to receive lots of exciting goodies from the ERWAT team — a lovely surprise that brought big smiles to many faces!
It was truly a day filled with learning, laughter, and community spirit. We extend our heartfelt thanks to ERWAT for their generosity and for inspiring our learners to be responsible citizens who care about water and the environment.
A big thank you to ERWAT – together, we grow greener and wiser! 💧🌳
